Lucky bamboo is not bamboo. It is a dracaena, and it has been given as a symbol of good fortune for generations, usually sold in a glass vase of pebbles and water. We think it deserves better.

On a hand formed moss ball, the segmented green stalks read the way they were always meant to: vertical, bound at the base, with leaves arching out at the top.

Tradition assigns meaning to stalk count. Three designates happiness, long life, and prosperity.

Care

• Light: bright indirect light. Direct sun scorches the leaves and yellows the stalks.
• Water: soak 2 to 3 minutes, drain fully. Keep the ball consistently moist, never dry through. Roughly every 5 to 7 days indoors. Check by weight.
• Water quality matters with this one. Dracaenas are sensitive to fluoride and chlorine, and tap water often causes brown leaf tips. Use filtered, distilled, or tap water left out overnight.
• Temperature: normal indoor range, above 60F / 15C. Avoid cold drafts.
• Yellow stalks usually mean too much direct sun or water quality, not underwatering.
• Toxic to cats and dogs if chewed.

Every ball is formed and wrapped by hand, so the jute pattern and the shape of the sphere are unique to your piece. The plant varies too, in size, form, and color. Yours will not look exactly like the photo, and we think that is the best part.
